As an experienced football coach and sports educator with a deep passion for individual player development I have seen real results and value in individual and small group football coaching.
While coaching in a team environment has its merits, I discovered that players experience significantly faster improvements through tailored 1-to-1 and small group sessions.
This focused approach allows coaches to hone in on each player’s unique strengths and areas for growth, leading to accelerated progress both technically, tactically, physically and psychologically
About Me
I’m a passionate football coach, deeply committed to helping the next generation of players develop and succeed. My journey in football began at a young age, playing at various academies throughout my childhood.
This early exposure to the game provided me with a strong foundation and fuelled my desire to pursue football more seriously. I was fortunate enough to earn a football scholarship to the USA, where I experienced the thrill of winning a national championship – a pivotal moment in my playing career.
After graduating, I returned to the UK and played semi-professional football for several successful years. As time passed, I transitioned my passion to teaching sports and coaching football. While I will never replace that feeling of scoring a goal or winning leagues and cups, I feel so privileged I have stayed connected to the game through coaching and teaching! And you can too!
My Experience
My coaching journey began around 15 years ago, and since then, I’ve had the privilege of working with players of all ages and abilities. I’ve coached everything from nursery-aged children, starting as young as 18 months, to primary and secondary school students, through to adult semi-professional teams.
This broad range of experience has given me a unique insight into the different stages of player development. I’m proud to be a UEFA B qualified coach, and for the past eight years, I’ve focused on running 1-to-1 and small group coaching clinics.
These sessions allow me to offer personalised development plans, helping players achieve their individual goals. It’s incredibly rewarding to see the progress of the players I work with, both on and off the pitch.

Graduated from Fort Lewis College in the USA with a degree in Exercise Science and becoming a national champion!

Ive attended Sam’s 121 sessions since the summer of 2023 and I can’t speak highly enough of them. Sam is a brilliant coach he’s patient really friendly explains everything clearly and makes the lessons fun and enjoyable. My son has come on so much with all his football skills since having his lessons with Sam. He’s always gives positive feedback through out the lesson and does a full recap at the end of each session. My son loves his football lessons with all the different skills Sam has teaching him. Sam’s communication with booking and arranging the lessons is also first class.
My sons been attending Sam’s individual football sessions for 6 years. He enjoys every session. Sam has helped my son massively in his football journey
